A Mayerdial... is a black 'NEWMAN' dial for a screwdown Daytona. But 95% of the vintage Rolex world thinks as FAKE of them. There is a theory of they where a SINGER production which never made it into Rolex watches. Still under discussion ....
They have OYSTER on the dial, as the screwdown was waterproof. The 6241 is not waterproof... so there was no OYSTER on the dial.
Mine is a perfect excample of a 6241 3-colour white Nemwan dial.
Is that the 'Mayer' dial?
ReplyDeleteNo!
