Daytona meeting

Yesterday a nice German collector visited Maastricht and invited me to have a drink in the afternoon. And also Philipp joined in ... for a short but nice talk and drink.

Daytona Love part 5

One of the nicest Daytona's i have ever seen. It belongs to a great friend. Who build such a great collection of fantastic watches. And this one is a real rare bird. He searched for more then 3 years for a real nice one. A total brown Daytona. Often we them with brown sub-dials. But with a total brown dial and white eyes, is real rare and ultra sexy!!! And the original MK1 pushers!

Well done my friend!!! I am totally in love...

Another fantastic example.. one of the nicest i had on my wrist. Again a sigma dial and 4.X serial. Perfect dial with dark chocolate subdials.

Daytona Love part 2.

Another one of my all time favourites is the BIG RED Daytona 6263. If you ever go for one... please choose one in a condition like this.

The BIG RED is magical. Daytona at a distance from the subdial. Perfect dial and markers. This is how we like them. Tropic #21 and vintage heaven here we come. I guess this is one of the biggest style-icons of the last century. The Sigma dial in part 1. is from the early 70th.... this Big red from the 80th. If they would only design watches like this.

Daytona Love part 1.

One of my favourite watches is the vintage Daytona... the 6239, 6241, 6240, 6263,..... silver dial,.. black dial... they are all so cool.

But one of the nicest configurations to me is the early silver writing black 6263 with Sigma dial.

I love the understatement and the details! Silver printing.. real different from white on the wrist, low position of the Rolex typography (see the serif font), pearly subdials, OT SWISS TO . Also real cool on a black nato strap! Style and pure sex on the wrist!
