The Paul Newman Straps are live

Years ago when i bought my first Rolex Daytona Paul Newman i wanted such strap. As i was so in love with this looks on all these well know images Paul Newman wearing his famous watch. I not only loved his style, but also loved that these straps with the underlining fit great with an modern style of mens fashion. A bit of an rebel style added to an classic watch. As i love the contrast.

Daytona meeting

Yesterday a nice German collector visited Maastricht and invited me to have a drink in the afternoon. And also Philipp joined in ... for a short but nice talk and drink.

Passion meeting 2011 >>> It was amazing!

Another year gone by. Passion 2011 was another blast. So much relaxed fun and great watch talk. So many great watches. But not only like the hot grails of the month. In this group we see different style, different taste. Which makes it extra great. What we see are also great GMT's... but then with just the right patina, great case,  or little details.

As there was so much to see, in this post i will show you some images of the event. On later posts the next weeks i will focus on some of the watches and show some more detail and stories with it.

Some friends over

Well last week we had a little meeting with some friends. Just a small group of friends who wanted to show each other some of the new additions to their collection. And as always a big party of passion with those guys. And the best in the group.... sharing without any arrogance, envy or focus on value. Just pure passion and great guys. Thanks!

Daytona Love part 7... so nice!

Yesterday i met some friends. And woooow what did i see. Another of these crazy beautiful brown Daytona's. So nice, it is almost hurting me. One day i really want one of those. Next to the Newman they are the nicest for sure. And much rarer.... very rare!

What a end of a year! I guess i need something brown again! Please helppppppppppppppppppp!

Daytona Love part 6... the ultimate

Well this one is the ultimate Daytona for me. I had the great honour to have quite some great Daytona's in my hand.... but this one for me i still the queen. None can match her in beauty for me. Perfect style and great condition. 6241 3 colour Newman. And as some people always feel that the pump-pusher Daytona looks small.... this one doesn't. The bezel makes all the difference. And the 3 colour white dial makes it really magical and eye-candy.

And as i love my black vintage SWISS tropic strap, this Newman need it's white vintage brother.
