Dr. PHILipp did a great job. Patient saved!!!! whoooooooaaaa alive and kicking again! And was great and special to see the dial without #19.

More brown ... more sun!

I got lucky this week. A fantastic 1675 tropical dial GMT. A 1967 watch with the typical shape of the crown-guards. The case has seen some polish but still very nice. But the dial is such a nice brown. Changing colour from deep dark brown to a real great warm chocolate. Changing the angle is magical.

Cooool book

As designer, vintage lover and book fetishist this one is one i want to share with you. A cool book about graphic design of vintage race cars.

I only need a brownish inlay.... help....

Well last week we had a little meeting with some friends. Just a small group of friends who wanted to show each other some of the new additions to their collection. And as always a big party of passion with those guys. And the best in the group.... sharing without any arrogance, envy or focus on value. Just pure passion and great guys. Thanks!

Ready for summer...

Well even spring has to start yet.... but i am ready for a summer of colour and fun! And not taking yourself to serious LOOOL!

Munich watch fair

Well.... Munich... in perspective... the show was kind of a disappointment. The trip with friends was great. The quality of the watches shown by most of the dealers was poor. Ugly dials, cases overpolished. I was there with money in my hand and nothing i wished to buy. Rasmus had some nice pieces as usual. One Newman. But for the rest... quite some DRSD at still high prices. Some bad GMT's/Subs for 3.5-4.2 K euro.. not 1 matching 1655 in nice condition... and still asked 9.5K for it... None i would buy. There was a brown Daytona but i did not see it live. I have only seen 1 original Comex and 1 6541. 1 Tudor Big Crown and 1 ugly Rolex Big Crown..... a lot of the big dealers where not there. A ugly star-dial for 90K euro... The nice watches where all on the wrist of friends ;-)

The most beautiful 6238 black dial, 6263's... 1655,.. 1675,.. and double-swiss Daytona. Seems like the market has problems to find real nice watches. As quality is everything.... I had my un-polished gilt Sub with me (to sell)... for the case if i would be tempted by a real nice watch like a black Daytona or so.... BUT nothing!!! So i enjoyed the time with friends! Which at the end of the day... is the most important part!

So i saved money and still went home with great watches and a big smile on my face.

Wauw just wauuuwwww. I need one of those! In vintage such a cool beast as i had one for a while. But now with the black dial.... yeahhhhhhh!!!

The new Rolex Explorer 3

Yeahhh... first i was waiting for the new Submariner. Maybe he one modern Rolex i would like to buy. But looking at the Explorer 3. Well the new Sub can't beat the vintage ones. But the new Explorer looks ultra cool. Very close to my former Blackout... but just bigger. But not to big! Really a nice watch. Maybe the one to buy!
